Bill Fitzhugh is the award-winning author of seven satiric crime novels. The New York Times called Fitzhugh “a strange and deadly amalgam of screenwriter and comic novelist. His facility and wit, and his taste for the perverse, put him in a league with Carl Hiaasen and Elmore Leonard.” His latest novel, The Adventures of Slim & Howdy, is a collaboration with country music megastars Brooks & Dunn. Publishers Weekly calls it “heaps of fun” and Entertainment Weekly cites the “so sharp” comic prose. The musical stage adaptation of Bill’s first novel, Pest Control, made its very successful debut at the NoHo Arts Center in Los Angeles. It was received with rave reviews and sold-out performances. A touring production is in the planning stages. A film adaptation of Pest Control is also in development at Warner Brothers and his novel Cross Dressing is in development at Universal Studios. Bill is currently working on a sequel to Pest Control called The Exterminators. His novels have been translated into German, Japanese, and Italian. He is also the writer, producer and host of the XM radio show “Fitzhugh’s All Hand-Mixed Vinyl.”
